It’s looove week! Valentine’s Day is coming up, and we’re seeing the memes and feelings all that comes with the holiday.
I believe that God has something to say about literally everything. It may look unconventional, but when we understand His character (“God is Love”, 1 John 4:8), we must understand His intentions towards us. He’s not out to get us, condemn us, or ruin our day with challenges He knows we could never win. But in His kindness that leads us to Him (Romans 2:4), we discover all the goodness that a life with Him holds.
You know what’s not good? Feeling left out.
And the truth is, is that you’re invited to the party.
Valentine’s Day can be incredibly hard for many. Whether you’ve got a significant other now or not, there is significance in this week for you. You are not left out. You’re not forgotten. Loneliness is not your lot, loveliness is.
He’s calling you to Him. What a wonderful place to go! (John 12:32)
God, surrounding you, is ready to encounter you with His extravagant love! So don’t run away from the feelings this week may bring, embrace them, bring them to Jesus, and listen in for what Holy Spirit wants to say through it.
“We will remember your love, rejoicing and delighting in you, celebrating your every kiss as better than wine. No wonder righteousness adores you!”
